The Colorado Buffaloes under coach Deion Sanders have flourished this season, so far, primarily due to the form of its stars, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter. The Buffs are 4-1 ahead of their clash against the Kansas State Wildcats in Week 7 of college football action.
Off the gridiron, Coach Prime recently joked that he would unhang his boots after LA Lakers star LeBron James finally got to play with his son, Bronny James, on the same team.
The $45 million-worth Colorado coach (as per Celebrity Net Worth) posted a graphic of himself in uniform with his sons, Shilo and Shedeur Sanders on Instagram. He cheekily claimed that he would leave retirement to play with them.
Travis Hunter, who has been included into the Sanders clan almost like a fourth son to Coach Prime, was not having it. He texted the coach, asking why he had not been included in the graphic.
On Tuesday, Deion Sanders reposted a new, wholesome graphic on Instagram of himself alongside Shilo, Shedeur and Travis, with the caption:
“And there it is – @deionsandersjr @kingjames,” Deion Sanders wrote.

Travis Hunter and Deion Sanders share unique bond
Travis Hunter was a five-star prospect in the class of 2021. He committed to the Florida State Seminoles before controversially flipping his commitment to HBCU and FCS side, the Jackson State Tigers, to play under coach Deion Sanders.
When Coach Prime departed Jackson State for Boulder, Hunter also entered the transfer portal and followed the charismatic coach to Colorado. There, he has been one of the three indispensable players in the roster.
During his weekly news conference before facing off against the Kansas State Wildcats in Week 7, Sanders was full of praise for Hunter. He was asked who the better player between himself and the Buffs star is and he replied:
“It’s not me against Travis,” Sanders said. “I had my turn, man. You can’t just turn me on and off like a light switch anymore. Travis is everything, it’s his turn now. I want him to have all the accolades, all the praise, all the love, all the attention, all the focus that he desires. I’ve had my turn.
“I see similarities in certain areas,” Sanders said. “Especially away from the game. Especially his demeanor away from the game. I absolutely love it and I love who he is in the game. We don’t smoke, we don’t drink, we’re not profane. Travis is a really, really, really good young man.”
Whenever Deion Sanders speaks about his sons, Shedeur and Shilo’s futures in the NFL, he almost always includes Travis Hunter in his musings as well, showing the quality of their bond.
