The San Francisco 49ers faced off against the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 5. The 49ers are coming off a win against the New England Patriots in Week 4 and are 2-2 on the season. The Cardinals, on the other hand, lost to the Washington Commanders last week and are 1-3 on the season.
Apart from Christian McCaffrey, all the other 49ers stars were fit enough to play against the Cardinals. Arizona had all their key players available for the game against San Francisco and looked poised to pull off an upset.
The 49ers led by 23-10 at halftime but the Cardinals scored 14 unanswered points in the second half to win the game 24-23.

Brandon Aiyuk had the best game of the season so far, but that was not enough for the 49ers to win today. After kicker Jake Moody’s injury, everything went wrong for San Francisco.
Brock Purdy threw two interceptions in the second half, including a game-losing one late in the fourth quarter as Kyler Murray and the Cardinals came away with a big win.
The 49ers are 2-3 heading into Week 6, where they will face the Seattle Seahawks and their path to winning the NFC West has become a lot tougher.
The Cardinals, led by the heroes Murray and James Conner, will enter Week 6 with the same record as the 49ers and will face the Green Bay Packers. Arizona’s defense shut down the 49ers offense in the second half, and they will hope to replicate the same performance against Jordan Love and co.
As for the 49ers, they need to figure things out quickly as they have a tough run of fixtures ahead. Their next three games are against the Seahawks, Chiefs, and Cowboys.
