Tyreek Hill’s meltdown on sideline goes viral as Dolphins lose 31-12 to Titans on MNF
The Miami Dolphins are continuing to collapse in the 2024 season, especially without their star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is on injured reserve with a concussion. On Monday night, they lost their third straight game, being blown out 31-12 by the visiting Tennessee Titans, who had lost their own starting quarterback Will Levis to a suspected shoulder injury.
As the final minutes of the game passed, cameras caught star wide receiver Tyreek Hill arguing on the sidelines, visibly frustrated at his offensive struggles (he had only 23 yards on four catches).

The Titans were led offensively by Tony Pollard, who had 88 yards and a touchdown from 22 carries (he also caught two passes for 20 yards). Tyjae Spears added 39 from 15 and scored a touchdown. Wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd each added 31 yards from two grabs while Nick Folk made five field goals.
Tyler Huntley (14 completions for 96 yards) was responsible for the Dolphins’ only touchdown – a rushing score. Jaylen Waddle had four catches for just 36 yards on the night as well.
The Dolphins slipped to 1-3 for the season while the Titans registered their first win of the season, also ending with a 1-3 record. Miami will travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots next Sunday while the Titans host the Indianapolis Colts the same day.
Could Dolphins be making offensive changes after blowout loss vs. Titans?
The Miami Dolphins struggled tonight against the Tennessee Titans, in the absence of their star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Head coach Mike McDaniel admitted in his post-game presser that he has been contemplating making changes to the roster:
“Everything’s on the table, but you can’t argue that the offense is good,” McDaniel said. … “To me, in a situation like this, I haven’t really been one where we have had production consecutively like this, so you’ve got to open your mind to all things.”
And one solution, at least as proposed by DraftKings, has been to trade Tyreek Hill back to the Kansas City Chiefs for three draft picks (two 2025 and one 2026). Star Local Media’s Zachary Neel opines that it would be a way to alleviate the defending Super Bowl champions’ shortage of wide receivers after injuries to Rahee Rice (knee) and Marquise Brown (shoulder).
“When you consider how good Hill and Mahomes were together, though, it might be worth it… For the Chiefs, it could be a championship-caliber trade…. Without Rice playing for the foreseeable future, and potentially the rest of the season, it could be time that they make a move.”
Hill spent his first six seasons with the Chiefs, winning Super Bowl LIV. He was traded to the Dolphins in 2022 and signed a then-record four-year, $120-million extension. In Miami, he has made the playoffs twice, both times losing in the Wild Card Round.
