All the five little puppies wanted was to cuddle up to their mom, sleep peacefully in her arms, and feel her unconditional love.
Sadly, heartless people separated them from their warm embrace forever and put their precious lives in danger.
The babies were safe from harm after heartless people stuffed them into a cardboard mailbox and left them in a dumpster.
They screamed for help, hoping that someone would hear them and come to their aid before it was too late.

A giant-hearted woman who was taking her trash to a dumpster outside her apartment complex in Troy, Alabama, was startled to hear mysterious howling sounds coming from the metal dumpster.
She called an apartment manager who helped her search through the dumpster. They were both in disbelief when they realized the noise was coming from a cardboard box wrapped in tape.
The couple carefully opened the ox and discovered five squealing puppies. They were just three weeks old.

Still in quarantine, the woman contacted Troy Animal Shelter Project and asked for their help.
Rescuers immediately responded to the call for help and took care of the puppies.
The moment Gessle’s team saw the crying babies huddled in the ox, they were heartbroken.
Newborn babies rose from the heat of the dumpster.
The rescue team quickly brought the puppies inside and comforted them. The puppies stopped crying and realized they were in good hands.
The tiny babies were dehydrated. Their caregivers immediately prepared formula for them and bottle-fed them. The babies ate as quickly as they could.

Melissa Boatner, vice president of the Troy Animal Center, brought the five babies into her home. She was determined to nurse them back to health.
Boatner, one of the chief bottle-feeders of the group, cared for the puppies 24 hours a day.
The babies proved resilient and quickly recovered.
Their amazing foster mother showered them with love, wanting to erase the pain they were suffering.
The puppies received all the love. Feeling safe and happy, they began to thrive and play with each other.
“They were a little nervous because of dehydration and fatigue, but they recovered pretty quickly. As you can see, they are chubby little monkeys now,” Boatner said in an interview.

Despite the rough start in life, the puppies are expected to make a full recovery.
“All five puppies are recovering amazingly well. Our vet believes they will make a full recovery and grow into beautiful, healthy dogs,” Troy Animal Rescue Project wrote in a Facebook post.
The five adorable puppies will remain in their foster home until they are ready to start looking for a permanent home.
I am deeply grateful to the woman with the giant heart who found the puppies and immediately called for help. Thanks to you, the puppies were born and have a bright future ahead of them.
