The manager of Lil Wayne is incensed at the Super Bowl 2025 halftime show’s disregard for Kendrick Lamar.

Kendrick Lamar is going to perform at this season’s Super Bowl halftime show, as announced on Sunday before the start of the afternoon games. The rapper is enjoying a successful year, and although he has already performed at Super Bowl 56 as part of the Los Angeles crew, he will now have his own show.

No one doubts that the Compton rapper deserves his opportunity. A worldwide superstar is always going to feature in the Super Bowl, and with the impact he has made with his music, the choice is a good one. Still, not everyone agrees with the decision.

Lil Wayne's Manager 'Angry' At Kendrick Lamar Named 2025 Super Bowl Headliner As JAY-Z Praises K.Dot

Fabian Marasciullo, the manager of fellow rapper Lil Wayne, wasn’t happy with the decision made by the league. He shared his thoughts in an Instagram decision, calling Wayne the GOAT and saying:

“They’ll never again be at a position where they’ll be at the mercy of other people’s decisions”
The announcement was made on Sunday through Kendrick’s own Instagram page. It was quickly followed by many people praising the league’s decision, as the rapper’s lyrics go far beyond the city of Compton.

Why are NFL fans mentioning Drake in Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show announcement?
The two superstars had a huge beef midway through 2024, with the American rapper claiming a win after releasing many diss songs that earned praise as soon as they were released, such as “Not Like Us” and “Euphoria.”

Kendrick and Drake’s beef is nothing new, but it certainly moved up a note in 2024 — the point being Lamar was quick to attack the Canadian right after he released his diss songs and ultimately claimed victory in the Pop Out Concert held in L.A. in June, with NBA legends Russell Westbrook and Demar DeRozan siding with Lamar.

Drake changed plenty in his music style to become more attractive to pop music and radio, which ruffled some feathers inside the rap industry. Although he did release a famous song “Poetic Justice” with Lamar in 2012, it’s impossible to imagine the two working together again.

But after the way Kendrick “won” the battle, trolling the Canadian is funny to his fans.
