The mother and daughter of a lovely puppy that was just born this morning were discovered by a rescue pair.

As the founder of Logan’s ɩgeɡass 29, Suzette Hall is often the first person people in Los Angeles County, California, call when they find a dog in need. Hall is used to saving dogs in a variety of difficult situations, but a call she received recently made her heart sink.

A local resident reported finding a small blonde dog curled up in a stranger’s garden. When they got closer, they realised he was protecting a secret litter of puppies.

“They were so cute, just born this morning,” Hall wrote on Facebook.

Suzette Hall Hall and her volunteers rushed to the scene, where they found Ella’s mother dog, later named Carol, curled up around her babies. The team carefully approached Carol, showering her with words of affirmation, but the skittish mother dog ran off as soon as they got close.

“When we arrived, Mom was safe with them, but she ran away and escaped,” Hall wrote. “She wanted to get back to her babies, but she was very sick.”

Suzette Hall The team collected the cubs and came up with a plan to protect their protective mother.

“I lured her back into the yard and we were able to close the gate,” Hall wrote. “She was so protective of her pups that she wouldn’t let anyone grab her.”

Hall decided to set a humane dog trap with tempting food. Moments later, the mother dog emerged from the trap and the door slammed shut behind her.

Suzette Hall Carol was immediately stunned, and realized where her babies were. But Hall’s team quickly reunited the little family, which eased Carol’s anxiety.

“We quickly gave her puppies back to her and she just snuggled up to them,” Hall wrote. “She just wanted her little family, who she had in a strange yard, all of her waiting. She made us all cry.”

Suzette Hall took Carol and her six puppies to Camino Pet Hospital, where the entire family was eventually approved for foster care. As soon as they arrived at their new foster home, Carol’s attitude changed.

“When I came to her to take her in, she knew she was safe. “She let me love her and help her learn to nurse,” Hall wrote. “And then, she just snuggled up to her puppies because she knew she had been rescued and didn’t have to go through [any more] waiting.”

Suzette Hall It’s been a few days since Carol and her babies were rescued, and the little family is thriving. It’ll be a while before Carol and her babies, Greg, Peter, Bobby, Marcia, Jan and Cindy, named after the beloved TV family, The Brady Bunch, find permanent homes. But as of now, they’re doing better than ever, and Hall couldn’t be happier for them.

“Mom was so scared, but now he’s just a perfect sweetheart,” Hall told The Dodo. “They’re all little miracles.”
