For the pitbull, it wasn’t enough to be as affectionate as he could. He was abandoned by his parents in the shelter just because he would have had a baby.

Pitbulls have been for many years labeled by society as aggressive and dangerous dogs, either because of their physical appearance or because of stories that prove it, such as those we have reviewed in Zoorpreet. However, the reality is very different, since this breed of dog is exactly the same as the others.

With good training and good manners, these large dogs have the ability to become just as loyal and loving as any other dog.

The perfect example is Stormy, a 2-year-old pitbull, who despite everything has stopped being a kind, affectionate and playful dog.

Stormy is part of a big family  made up of a couple with their 4 children, two dogs, a cat, and himself. They all lived together in perfect harmony, he is good with his children, just as he is with his siblings and even with the cat.

He couldn’t have been happier to be part of this wonderful core.

Everything was rosy until her mother became pregnant and had her fifth child . This was the moment when they decided that she could no longer have it.

The best idea they had to get rid of him was to take him to a shelter in Brooklyn, where  they could feel Stormy’s fear and sadness from the moment she took the first step to enter the establishment , a place completely different from the one she saw.

This is the face of a little dog whose heart was broken.

Alaa Guerri, a volunteer and foster carer for  Eleveth Home Rescue,  an organization dedicated to finding homes for shelter dogs, heard about Stormy and rushed to get him out of the shelter.

Stormy had only been inside for a couple of hours, but she urgently needed to get out.

From there, Alaa took his 16-year-old son out to pick up poor Stormy from the shelter and take him home to New Jersey to care for him until he found a family who could take care of him.

As he was getting into the car,  Stormy laid down on Alaa’s son’s lap, stroking his tail and giving him kisses as a way of thanking him  for getting him out of that cold place. So much so that when he got home he would never leave his side, and like the faithful dog he is, wherever the boy would sit, wherever Stormy would go he would mount him and lay on top of him.

Alaa, at this point she realized that he really was a kind and loving dog.  She watched as Stormy played with her son, avoiding touching him with her teeth at all costs to avoid scratching him and hurting him; and whenever someone felt bad, Stormy would come closer and snuggle up to him to comfort him.

Although it was a foster home, Stormy felt much better than the shelter.

They couldn’t believe how his previous family could have left such a special dog like Stormy, so Alana decided to be very picky about who she gave him to. A dog as great as this little guy deserved a family that would give him back the same love and affection that he gives to everyone around him.
