The most potent air-to-air missile was delivered to a Russian Su-35 fighter jet

Russian Su-35 fighters received unique missile weapons. Russian Su-35 fighters received unique missiles.

The latest aviation missiles greatly expand the capabilities of Russian combat aircraft, allowing them to hit targets at distances up to 300 kilometers, which, in fact, allows them to destroy enemy aircraft even before the radars of the latter can detect their target. According to Sina, endowed with such capabilities, Su-35 fighters turn into real deadly weapons.

Sina journalists note that with the advent of the Su-35 fighters, American technology now seems backward, and it is probably thanks to the R-37M missiles that the combat aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces will occupy air superiority for a long time to come.

“At present, the missile that has been transferred to the US Army and has the most powerful performance and the farthest range is the AIM-120C air-to-air missile. However, its range is only a hundred kilometers, so in this area the United States lags behind Russia. word in the publication of the publication, ” Russian publication says.

The R-37M missiles also aroused quite a lot of interest from Egypt, in particular, according to the Defense Arabia publication, Egypt will regret it quite a lot due to the fact that it never acquired fighters from Russia, which would give the country’s air force superiority in the region even over Israeli aircraft. The SU-35 fighter jets commissioned in military operations in Ukraine are now refurbished with their latest missiles, the missiles are capable of destroying enemy fighter jets from a distance of 300 meters.

With that latest missile, the SU-35 fighter jet is capable of destroying enemy fighter jets before they are detected by radar.

Russian journalists said that, with the presence of Su-35 fighter jets, US technology is now behind and this allows SU-35 fighter jets to easily destroy United States fighter jets. However, Russian Su-35 still lacking AESA long range radar.

With the R-37M Missiles on Russian SU-57 fighter jets, NATO and western fighter jets will think thousands of times to fighting directly in the air.

The R-37 has been deployed for several years from the Russian Air Force’s MiG-31 Foxhound heavyweight interceptors, and is considered one of the most capable air to air missiles in the world with an impressive 400km range, Mach 6 speed and massive 60kg payload.

By contrast, the most capable long range air to air missile in U.S. service, the AIM-120D, has a 180km range, Mach 4.5 speed and a payload of around 20kg. The R-37’s very long range means it requires aircraft with very powerful sensors to deploy it, which previously meant that only the MiG-31, which carries by far the largest radar in the world for an aircraft designed for air to air combat, could employ it effectively.

The Su-35’s introduction of the powerful Irbis-E radar, however, allows the newer aircraft to also make effective use of the R-37M – with the jet expected to gain even better situational awareness in future when it integrates an AESA radar derived from that currently deployed by the Su-57 fighter. The ability of multiple Su-35s to share targeting data, as well as the fighter’s ability to share data with ground based radars and airborne early warning aircraft such as the A-50U, allows them to make better use of the R-37’s long range.

The R-37M is one of two new air to air missile classes to enter service in the Russian Air Force, the other being the K-77 which has a shorter range of approximately 193km but is more compact and has a sensor suite better suited to neutralizing maneuverable targets.
