24- year old Bronx native, Belcalis Almanzar aka Cardi B went from dancing in a Manhattan strip club, social media sensation, Love and Hip Hop Reality TV star, and now the first female rapper with no featured artists to the hold the number 1 Billboard spot since Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” in 1998.
In the words of 50 cent “Man, whoever said progress was a slow process wasn’t talking bout me”. Go Cardi! It’s no wonder this track has become such a household name; from stuntin’ on your exes, kid’s birthday parties, clubs, captions and quotes, to recording artists paying respect and much more. Cardi B hit the red carpet at the annual ceremony
