Currently fundraising campaigns are quite common, there are even those who go to platforms like GoFundMe to celebrate their birthday or make a dream come true. On this occasion, she is a furry girl for whom a whole wave of solidarity has been initiated with the sole purpose of saving her life.
A helpless dog with a bloated snout pleads for life with her expression of suffering.
This mongrel is one of the many animals that are in the care of the organization Causes for Animals in Singapore, a non-profit organization that helps unprotected animals.
Mandai initially came to the organization as one of the beneficiaries of a program that ensures that street dogs are sterilized.
The animals are not actually rescued, but are sterilized for free and benefit from food and medical check-ups. However, a complex health problem led the organization to do something else for her.
Mandai appeared with a small lump on her snout that has already grown large enough to prevent her from eating or drinking normally. Such simple acts are really difficult for her to perform, and her life could be in danger.
Given the complexity of the matter, the organization captured Mandai Mama and took her to the Animal World Veterinary clinic, from there they have subjected her to different studies that have shed light on her case.
Upon rescuing her, Causes for Animals launched a request for help through her Facebook, which sought to raise funds for her possible operation.
Sadly, in an April 16 post, what they feared was reported, the tumor is malignant and inoperable.
“The CT scan of Mandai Mama has revealed that the growth is inoperable and the cancer has spread. She will only need palliative care for the time being,” they noted.
The dog is now under the care of the shelter for retired dogs called Gentle Paws and continues to need everyone’s collaboration.
Mandai’s fate is uncertain but no one wants to throw in the towel in the fight for her life and they need our collaboration to continue fighting cancer.
Anyone who wishes can collaborate with the dog through the organization’s page so that this harsh disease does not mitigate the furry’s life.
Please help us in this good cause, share the case of Mandai Mama and making her story known.
