Anna Grace and Hope Elizabeth Richards, the resilient one-year-old twins from North Texas, have captured the world’s attention with their remarkable journey. Born conjoined at the chest and abdomen on December 29, 2016, they spent their first year of life in a neonatal intensive care unit, sharing vital organs including a liver, diaphragm, and part of a heart.

Their story took a dramatic turn in January when they underwent a risky separation surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. While Anna Grace was deemed healthy enough to leave the hospital on March 2, Hope’s condition remained fragile, requiring additional weeks of recovery.

For the past two months, the sisters have been apart, with Hope undergoing intensive care to heal from the surgery that divided their shared organs. Despite the physical distance between them, the bond between Anna Grace and Hope remains unbreakable, their resilience and determination shining through every obstacle they face.

“This is the moment it all feels real,” shared their mother, Jill Richards. “Our family is eternally thankful for the doctors, nurses, child life specialists, physical therapists, and many others at Texas Children’s who took incredible care of our precious girls.”
