The Disney movie, 101 Dalmatians is a true classic. Louise Clement is a dog breeder and has recently gone viral because one of her dogs gave birth to an amazing litter.
It’s not 100, of course, but it is a number that means double what Dalmatian dogs usually have. It was a somewhat difficult process for the dedicated mother but she showed that she would do what was necessary for her babies.
“The birth was completely natural. The little dogs came out one after the other and it seemed like they were never going to stop,” said Louise.
The entire pregnancy process went normally but they never suspected that she would have so many puppies. Normally, Dalmatian litters are between 7 and 9 puppies.
This would sound like more than enough for an exhausted mother, but Nellie shocked her owners when she went into labor and the puppies just wouldn’t stop being born.
“I thought I was done with dog number 15. She rested for a few minutes and it was clear that she wanted to sleep,” Louise explained.
He was carrying more than a dozen puppies when he stopped, but it turns out this was just a break.
She regained her strength for a time and then continued to give birth. In total 18 puppies were born and all completely healthy.
Nellie’s labor lasted more than 14 hours.
When several puppies are born in the same birth, there is a greater chance that one of them will not survive. Fortunately, this was not the case. Devoted Nellie took her time with each of her babies and now they are all safe and healthy. It’s a real miracle.
“Nellie has turned out to be the best mom. She is very loving. “I am very proud of her,” Louise celebrated.
Louise has been caring for Dalmatian dogs for more than 30 years. Nellie’s birth was impressive, but there are also other Dalmatian puppies in her house and she has 27 in total.
They all live in a place with large open spaces and have everything they need to play and grow happily while waiting for their forever family.
This is Nellie’s first litter and she had her when she was three years old.
It is important to remember that there are many innocent animals on the street looking for someone to adopt them and give them a home. It is always better to adopt, in this way, we do our bit to support rescuers and street dogs.
