If there is water nearby, lab owners will tell you that their dogs will be in it. These four-footed water lovers are practically impossible to keep out of any pool, puddle, or pond they come across.
You’d think that because they have webbed feet, Labrador retriever puppies would be able to jump right in, but even they need to be introduced to the water for the first time. They paddle naturally, as do most dogs, but puppies may be frightened while swimming for the first time.
When this father decided it was time for his six puppies to learn to swim, he led by example by diving into the pond and encouraged his adorable little crew to follow suit.
The puppies appear frightened at first, then a couple of them get their paws wet. One courageous tiny pup proudly paddles out to his father. Dad appears to be having a good time, but it’s clear that he’s keeping a close eye on his dog and gently steering him back to land.
The pack continues to run and play in its garden wonderland after the first swimming instruction is completed. They are really fortunate dogs to live in such a lovely location. When a puppy gets lost on land, Dad is a fantastic father because he makes sure the tiny explorer doesn’t go lost.
