San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama recently won the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award in unanimous fashion. When receiving the award he had a tribute video from a couple NBA legends and former winners of the award.
Lebron James’ message to Wembanyama went viral, showing major respect to the young star.
“Happy to have you part of the beautiful league. Keep doing you. Keep getting better. I want to say congratulations to you, Rookie of the Year,” said James, via Fanatics on X.
Webanyana wasn’t a normal rookie. He was the leader of the Spurs on both ends of the floor, leading the league in blocks, while posting more than 20 points a night.
