• The farmer who owns this “unique” snake is Mr. Pham Van Diep in Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province.

  Mr. Diep said that about 4 years ago while checking for hatching snake eggs (his family raised snakes), he suddenly discovered that in the nest there was a white snake that was unusual compared to the other snakes.

  

  “This snake hatched from a nest of buffalo cobra eggs (often called red dragon snakes, black tiger snakes, tiger snakes or buffalo snakes). Buffalo cobras are usually light brown in color, but this snake has a very strange white (albino) color, very different from other snakes of the same type,” Mr. Diep said.

  Seeing that the buffalo cobra had a special color, Mr. Diep separated it and took care of it separately. After many years of nurturing, this “albino dragon” snake now weighs more than 2kg and is over 2m long. Not only does it have an albino body, the snake also has blue eyes and an unusually bright red tongue.

  The snake’s owner confided that when raising a special buffalo cobra, it is no different from other snakes of the same species, the food is mainly toads, frogs, frogs…

  Recently, knowing that Mr. Diep owned a strange poisonous snake, many people came to see it. The farm owner shared that many rich people asked to buy the snake for more than 100 million VND, but he still did not agree.

  “I don’t want to sell it but intend to keep it for research and breeding,” Mr. Diep confided.
