The teams that didn’t change their City Edition jerseys are the San Antonio Spurs and the Utah Jazz.
The remaining teams will feature a new jersey design for next season.
Pearl Jam bassist wore the 76ers 2024-25 NBA City Edition jersey a week before the leak
Fans of the Philadelphia 76ers got to see Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament wear a unique jersey during their concert on Sept. 9. Some fans noticed that the jersey that Ament wore wasn’t available in the NBA Store while watching the band perform at Wells Fargo Center.
Back in 2021, the franchise had a similarly designed uniform for their City Edition jerseys that season. However, it was the navy blue road version. The one that Ament wore was the home version of the jersey, which appears similar to the team’s leaked NBA City Edition jersey.
The jersey pays homage to the Spectrum, which was the home arena of the team from 1967 to 1996. Watch the video below to see the musician wear the jersey.
The Toronto Raptors will bring back iconic logo for their City Edition jerseys
Part of the Toronto Raptors’ history is their iconic logo, the dino logo. This season, the dino will make its return in their NBA City Edition jersey, while retaining its classic look.
Unlike the original, however, the dino won’t be posing as if he’s dribbling the ball. Instead, the dino is posed as if it’s attempting an Eastbay dunk.
The jersey will also feature the iconic Raptors pinstripes from the Vince Carter era.
